Message from Chairman

The Progressive Liberal Party is the oldest political institution in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. The PLP has a rich history and was the primary architect for the advancement of equality and social justice for all Bahamians. Our Party has been at the forefront of all of the modern advancements in Bahamian history and has served the people of The Bahamas for thirty years in the government spanning 1967-1992 and 2002 to the present.

The core ideals of the PLP are grounded in the provision of meaningful programmes and initiatives for the further empowerment of the Bahamian people. Our Party respects and places great value on SERVICE. We truly believe in serving the interests of the people and our record in government is a glowing testament of our loyalty and fidelity to this core message.

As the National Chairman of the PLP since November 2002, I remain focused and excited about the transformation that has taken place in our organization. We have revolutionized and energized the political machinery and have seen new young and dynamic leadership emerged at our Brach level.

Our work is all in an effort to ensure that the PLP remains connected to the PEOPLE and that we act in a fashion to demonstrate to the Bahamian masses that the PLP cares about their plight.

Our record in government has shown the PEOPLE that we do indeed care about them. Whether it be the buoyancy of the economy or the refreshing introduction of the Urban Renewal Programme, our Party has proven in government that we our best able to lead The Bahamas at this stage on our development.

Our leaders, Perry Christie and Cynthia Pratt, are committed to the core ideals of this Party. Their lives are exemplary of service to the people.

This is a Party for all Bahamians. Please join us and be a part of a larger Bahamian family that cares for and about PEOPLE.
